Job description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (APM) to join our construction management team. This is a remote role , with collaboration across project teams based in the US. The Assistant Project Manager will support the Project Manager in overseeing day-to-day project activities, coordinating subcontractors, managing schedules, and ensuring compliance with project requirements. This role is designed for professionals with a strong background in construction management who are eager to grow into leadership roles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Scheduling
  • Assist the Project Manager in developing and maintaining project schedules.
  • Track milestones, critical paths, and update progress reports.
  • Support resource allocation and coordination with subcontractors and vendors.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain and track project documentation such as RFIs, submittals, permits, and change orders.
  • Prepare weekly / monthly progress reports and dashboards for client and management review.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and client-specific documentation needs.
  • Site Coordination (Remote Oversight)

  • Collaborate with site supervisors and field teams to monitor project execution.
  • Address issues related to quality, safety, and progress, escalating to the Project Manager when needed.
  • Conduct virtual site meetings and follow-ups with US-based site personnel.
  • Budget & Procurement Support

  • Assist in preparing purchase requests, reviewing vendor quotes, and monitoring procurement timelines.\
  • Track expenses against budget and flag variances for corrective action.
  • Stakeholder & Client Communication

  • Act as a liaison between clients, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Support in preparing meeting minutes, presentations, and follow-up action trackers.
  • Risk & Quality Management

  • Assist in identifying project risks and maintaining a risk register.
  • Support QA / QC documentation and ensure adherence to project specifications.
  • Other Duties

  • Participate in project close-out activities, including final inspections, punch lists, and documentation.
  • Handle other responsibilities as assigned by the Project Manager.
  • Shift & Work Details

  • Work Mode : Remote (Work From Home, with occasional site visits if required)
  • Shift Timing : US Shift (Evening / Night IST to align with US project stakeholders)
  • Compensation : Competitive, commensurate with experience
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s and / or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 3–6 years of relevant construction project management experience.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera P6, Procore, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and project workflows.
  • Experience in US-based projects preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
