Reporting To : Directors of the organization
Objective : Build and scale the automation solutions business for ANFD to achieve a revenue target of ₹100 Cr within three years, managing it like a startup within the organization.
1. Business Growth & Strategy
Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy to expand the automation portfolio and achieve revenue and profitability targets.
Identify emerging market opportunities, new customer segments, and product / service innovations to sustain long-term growth.
Build and nurture a robust sales pipeline through proactive business development and market outreach.
Continuously analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to refine the business approach and offerings.
2. Customer Engagement & Deal Closure
Lead all technical and commercial negotiations with prospective and existing customers to secure profitable contracts.
Collaborate with customers’ process, instrumentation, and engineering teams to understand requirements and propose tailored automation solutions.
Oversee and participate in feasibility studies, site surveys, and value engineering exercises to build compelling proposals.
Develop strong, trust-based relationships with clients to foster repeat business and long-term partnerships.
3. Project Management Execution
Ensure timely, quality-driven, and cost-efficient execution of all automation projects from inception through commissioning and handover.
Coordinate and align internal teams—sales, engineering, procurement, execution, and quality assurance—to meet project milestones and deliverables.
Manage risks and resolve technical, commercial, and operational challenges promptly to avoid project delays or cost overruns.
Establish and maintain rigorous project tracking and reporting systems for transparency and performance improvement.
4. Team Leadership & Coordination
Lead, mentor, and motivate a multidisciplinary team comprising sales, engineering, project managers, and execution staff.
Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the department.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless coordination across R&D, production, and customer service teams.
Define clear KPIs and performance metrics, regularly reviewing team and individual achievements to drive results.
5. Financial and Operational Oversight
Own the department’s financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
Optimize resource allocation and operational workflows to maximize efficiency, cost control, and profitability.
Implement and monitor key operational processes and controls to ensure compliance, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Drive initiatives for process improvements, cost reduction, and value creation across the sales and execution lifecycle.
Qualifications and Experience
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical, or related fields). MBA or equivalent in Business Management is preferred.
Experience :
15+ years of experience in industrial automation, project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven success in scaling a business or product line, ideally in process automation or industrial solutions for chemical / pharma industries.
Strong background in process engineering, instrumentation, and automation technologies.
Expertise in managing multi-stakeholder projects.
