Job description

We’re building Mercle, a proof-of-personhood startup creating the future of digital identity. Our product pushes the boundaries of mobile experiences by combining beautiful design, 3D elements, on-device ML models, and privacy-first architecture. We’re looking for a Flutter Developer who’s not just a coder, but a creator who cares deeply about user experience, security, and building for scale.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and ship cross-platform Flutter apps (iOS & Android) that can scale to thousands / millions of users.
  • Implement 3D elements and models inside Flutter apps to deliver unique interactive experiences.
  • Integrate and run Machine Learning models directly on-device, ensuring smooth offline-first performance.
  • Own features end-to-end : from design collaboration → development → testing → deployment.
  • Work with secure storage solutions like Android Keystore and iOS Keychain to protect user data and private keys.
  • Collaborate with designers and product thinkers to make apps feel polished and human.
  • Be part of a startup culture — take ownership, experiment fast, and grow with the company.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience building apps used by large audiences (show us your portfolio / live apps!).
  • Strong knowledge of Flutter and deep understanding of iOS / Android ecosystems.
  • Experience integrating 3D graphics / models in mobile apps (Unity / SceneKit / ARKit / ARCore or equivalent is a plus).
  • Understanding of UI / UX design principles — you care about how things look and feel, not just if they work.
  • Ability (or willingness to learn fast) to run ML models locally using TensorFlow Lite, Core ML, or ONNX.
  • Familiarity with security & privacy best practices in mobile apps.
  • Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced startup environment where you’ll wear multiple hats.

  • Knowledge of Web3 technologies (wallet integrations, dApps, or smart contracts).
  • Contributions to open-source Flutter libraries.
  • Passion for human-centred design and privacy-preserving technology.
