Basic Functions :
Nucor Towers & Structures Inc, a division of Nucor, the United States’ largest recycler and largest
manufacturer of steel and steel products, is seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Detailer at our business unit located in New Delhi. Duties of the successful candidate include but are not limited to the following :
Read and understand transmission line drawings and project specifications
Prepare accurate 3D models and corresponding erection and shop detail drawings using
Autodesk Inventor and Bluestar PLM software
Revise and update drawings based on redlines or feedback from engineers and senior detailers
Ensure BOMs are accurate and align with procurement and fabrication needs
Collaborate with structural engineers to implement product design into the model and drawings
Check drawings for release to fabrication or field
Ensuring all work complies with utility pole industry standards, safety codes, and internal detailing guidelines
Ensure all drawings are entered into PLM with appropriate parameters and attributes that are needed for procurement and production
Consistently meet project deadlines while maintaining a high quality of work
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with local and global teammates
Manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
Work overtime when required to meet commitments
Minimum Qualifications :
Able to communicate in English
High school diploma or equivalent
Degree, certification, training, and / or experience in drafting / modeling / detailing field
At least one year of experience detailing using a CAD based detailing system
Preferred Qualifications :
Expertise using Autodesk Inventor software, also will consider other 3D CAD software experience
Competency using PLM, PLS-CADD, PDM, or ERP software
Utility structures industry experience
Experience developing and / or maintaining drafting standards or library
