Job Description :
We are looking for a highly skilled Microsoft Fabric Engineer with 7 - 9 years of experience to join our team at DataFactZ. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric and deep understanding of modern data engineering concepts across data ingestion, transformation, Lakehouse, and semantic modelling. You will be responsible for building scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric, integrating data from multiple sources, and enabling self-service BI for enterprise users.
Responsibilities :
- Solution Design : Design and implement scalable, end-to-end data solutions using Microsoft Fabric components such as Data Factory, Lakehouse, Dataflows Gen2, Warehouse, and Semantic Models.
- Data Engineering : Develop and orchestrate data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and curation using Fabric Data Factory and Notebook (PySpark or SQL).
- Data Modelling : Build dimensional and Lakehouse models that support business analytics and reporting, ensuring data accuracy and performance.
- Performance Optimization : Optimize data pipelines, queries, and storage layers to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Integration : Connect and integrate data from multiple on-prem and cloud sources, including SQL Server, Azure Data Lake, and external APIs.
- Governance & Security : Implement data security, lineage, and governance best practices using Fabric One Lake and Purview integration.
- Collaboration : Work closely with data analysts and Power BI developers to ensure seamless integration between Fabric datasets and Power BI reports.
- Monitoring : Configure monitoring, logging, and performance tracking for data pipelines within Fabric environment.
- Documentation : Maintain detailed technical documentation for pipelines, models, and workflows.
- Innovation : Stay updated with the latest Fabric, Azure, and Power BI innovations to continuously improve architecture and :
- 5- 7 years of experience in data engineering and analytics solution development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and its core components (Data Factory, Lakehouse, Dataflows, Data Warehouse, Power BI).
- Expertise in SQL, PySpark, and data modelling (Star / Snowflake).
- Proven experience in Azure ecosystem (ADLS, Synapse, ADF, Data Bricks, Logic Apps).
- Understanding of ETL / ELT principles, data Lakehouse architecture, and data governance.
- Familiarity with Power BI integration for end-to-end data to visualization workflows.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
