Electrical proposal engineer

Utthunga is looking for a meticulous and experienced Electrical Proposal Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be crucial in analyzing client requirements, designing compelling electrical solutions, and preparing detailed technical and commercial proposals for a variety of projects, including high-voltage switchyards. If you have a strong technical background and a keen eye for contractual details, you'll ensure our proposals are both competitive and compliant.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and fully understand the client's requirements, specifications, and scope of work as outlined in the Request for Quotation (RFQ).
• Develop a complete understanding of the technical, commercial, and contractual requirements for each project.
• Prepare detailed and competitive technical and commercial proposals .
• Craft detailed technical descriptions of the proposed solutions , clearly outlining the scope of work.
• Generate accurate cost estimates for labor, equipment, and other project-related expenses.
• Prepare all necessary technical documentation , including engineering drawings, equipment specifications, schematics, and detailed technical descriptions of the proposed solutions.
• Specifically prepare proposals for 220KV, 110KV, and 33KV switchyard projects , ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with client requirements.
• Prepare and manage supporting documentation for electrical & instrumentation proposals , such as the Bill of Materials (BOM) and data sheets.
• Review contract terms for potential risks and ensure that any unfavorable clauses are addressed with the legal team before proposal submission.
• Maintain a detailed record of all proposal-related documents, communications, and data for future reference and audits.
