We're looking for an accomplished and highly skilled APIGEE and Middleware Architect to join our dynamic team. This is a critical role for someone who thrives on designing, implementing, and overseeing robust and scalable integration solutions. You'll be instrumental in shaping our API strategy and ensuring seamless connectivity across our enterprise systems, operating within a fast-paced environment.
Role : APIGEE and Middleware Architect
Location : Pune / Nagpur, India
Time Zone : UK Time Zone (requiring flexibility for collaboration)
Notice Period : Immediate (Maximum 15 days is essential)
Experience : 10 to 12+ years of relevant experience
Key Responsibilities :
- API Strategy & Design : Lead the architectural design and implementation of API solutions using APIGEE (Edge, Hybrid, or X), ensuring adherence to best practices, security standards, and scalability requirements.
- Middleware Integration : Architect, design, and guide the development of complex integration solutions leveraging various middleware platforms such as MuleSoft, IBM Integration Bus, Oracle SOA Suite, WSO2, or similar technologies.
- API Lifecycle Management : Drive the full API lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and versioning.
- Security & Governance : Implement robust API security mechanisms, including OAuth2.0, JWT, and other industry standards. Define and enforce API governance policies, rate limiting, and traffic management strategies.
- Integration Patterns : Apply deep expertise in integration patterns, message queuing, service orchestration, and event-driven architecture to deliver highly efficient and resilient solutions.
- Cloud & Containerization : Leverage experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) to build cloud-native and cloud-agnostic integration architectures.
- Solution Articulation : Effectively articulate complex technical requirements and provide optimal, well-reasoned solutions for intricate integration scenarios to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Agile & DevOps Leadership : Work within Agile and DevOps environments, promoting continuous integration, continuous delivery, and infrastructure as code principles for API and middleware deployments.
Qualifications : Required :
Proven experience as an API Architect with hands-on, in-depth expertise in APIGEE (Edge, Hybrid, or X).Strong hands-on experience across multiple middleware platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, IBM Integration Bus, Oracle SOA Suite, WSO2).Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, OAuth2.0, JWT, API security, rate limiting, and traffic management.Strong background in integration patterns, message queuing, service orchestration, and event-driven architecture.Experience with major cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; ability to articulate complex solutions clearly and concisely.Demonstrated experience in Agile and DevOps environments.Preferred :
APIGEE certification (Architect or Developer level).Experience with CI / CD pipelines and GitOps for API deployment.Exposure to modern integration technologies such as GraphQL, gRPC, Kafka, or other relevant platforms.Prior experience in regulated industries like banking, healthcare, or telecom domains is a significant plus.(ref : hirist.tech)
