A Reach Truck Driver needs to operates a specialized forklift to load, unload, and transport materials in a warehouse or distribution center, focusing on high-level storage and tight spaces. Key responsibilities include operating the reach truck, performing general warehouse duties like order selection and pallet wrapping, conducting pre-operation vehicle inspections, maintaining safety protocols, and contributing to inventory management through accurate record-keeping and using scanners. The role requires strong attention to detail, time management skills, and often a valid forklift operator certificate.

Key Responsibilities

• Material Handling : Operate a reach truck to move, load, and unload materials, products, and shipments.
• Loading / Unloading : Safely load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, or rail cars and place them into storage or to various workstations.
• Storage : Place and retrieve materials from high-rise racking systems in a warehouse environment.
• Vehicle Operation : Drive and maneuver the reach truck efficiently and safely within narrow aisle configurations.
• Inventory Management : Accurately track inventory, count items, and use RF scanners to update stock levels.
• Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Equipment Inspection & Maintenance : Perform daily pre-operational checks on the reach truck for any damage or maintenance needs and report any issues.
• General Warehouse Duties : Assist with other tasks, such as picking orders, wrapping pallets, and general warehouse organization and cleanliness.
