Role : Deputy General Manager / General Manager – Shop Excellence
Base location : Mumbai / Dubai
Reporting : CEO - Pharma
Travel : 40% travel, more extensive initially
What you become a part of :
The successful candidate will design, lead implement operational processes to enhance efficiency and deliver high- quality customer service across our wholesale depots and stores in different countries in Africa.
What to expect :
- Monitor shop plans and program performance to maximize operational efficiency and drive growth.
- Drive in-store planning, coordination & evaluation of promotions, marketing and visual merchandising support in collaboration with Shop Operations Manager.
- Co-ordinate customer activation / loyalty programs; identify any other schemes as may be appropriate for implementation.
- Continuously Track inventory and stock levels to ensure continuous supply and achieve sales targets.
- Identify opportunities to launch flash campaigns / schemes basis product / SKU-wise inventory.
- Track monthly performance (sell through, inventory mix and level, retail presentation, store profitability and target achievement) against plan and proactively identify solutions to close performance gaps, if any.
- Standardize SOPs across stores and drive automation of shop processes.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and performance management of shop managers.
- Coach, train, and develop in-store teams in product knowledge, merchandising, customer service, and sales skills.
- Ensure standards for quality, customer service, and health and safety are met by providing a safe and clean store environment and implementing loss prevention measures.
- Collaborate with other regional teams such as warehouse, sales and marketing, supply chain, finance as needed to create synergy.
Essential qualifications & experience :
Secondary qualifications such as B.Com is mandatory and life sciences / pharmacy qualifications such as B.Sc. / D. Pharm / B. Pharm is preferred.12- 15 years of relevant experience with minimum 5 years in a regional role ideally within the pharmaceutical environment / retail pharmacies.Desired skills & attributes :
Strong coaching, training, and team development skills.Ability to work as an individual contributor with high impact.Excellent communication, consulting, and collaboration skills.Experience working cross-culturally in multi-country matrix environments.Fluency in English; French or Portuguese proficiency is preferred.Why Join Us ?
