Principal Engineer Mechanical

Responsibilities

• Assisting the GCC group team leader to plan and allocate team resources and tasks.
• Technical support to the Pre-Contract and Project Delivery teams on matters concerning the design, construction and operation of power and desalination plants and associated equipment.
• Detail design of power and water projects and use of the associated performance modelling software packages.
• Technical evaluation of tender submissions and report preparation.
• Preparation of basic and detail technical specifications and design drawings.
• Preparation of layout drawings; plan and cross-sectional views.
• Review of design and performance calculations and drawings of Contractors / subcontractors / vendors.
• Attend and contribute in team and project meetings.
• Reporting and monitoring of site progress to Project manager / client.
• Attend factory acceptance tests for any equipment manufactured in India and Abroad.
• Preparation of Due Diligence report and Operation reports.
• Review of method statement / test procedures submitted by contractors for power and desalination plants site activities.
• Review and preparation of monthly and quarterly construction progress reports.
• Maintain an awareness of technological advances and industry best practice. Key Competencies / Skills
