Job description

Role : City Controller and Revenue Lead

Department : Finance

Location : Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Pune

Work Mode : 6 days from office (weekly off on Monday)

Key Responsibilities

  • City Revenue Leadership : Own and drive revenue realisation for all residential

interior projects in your city. Set monthly revenue targets, drive achievement,

and ensure all projects are financially optimised to meet business and

profitability goals.

  • City Controller Duties : Act as the city-level finance leader, working closely with
  • the City CEO on OPEX and CAPEX management, project margins, cost

    analysis, and city-wide P&L control.

  • Business Partnering : Approve and support all city-level business initiatives
  • and support activities, ensuring alignment with business goals and financial

    discipline.

  • Strategic Growth Mindset : Continuously identify and drive initiatives to
  • maximise city revenue, gross margins, and EBITDA. Actively contribute

    actionable insights and plans for sustainable city business growth.

  • Project Tracking & Performance Monitoring : Oversee the progress of all
  • interior projects (modular, civil, carpentry, etc.), identifying bottlenecks, driving

    timely completion, and ensuring resource efficiency.

  • Cross-functional Coordination : Analyse data and work closely with sales,
  • design, operations, and category / function heads to resolve delays, improve

    project velocity, and deliver a superior customer experience.

  • Project Closure & Escalation : Escalate, recommend, and implement course
  • corrections for non-proceeding or stalled projects; ensure transparent

    customer communication and timely project off boarding.

  • Financial Governance : Govern project and vendor payments, incentives to
  • teams, and capex approvals strictly as per project progress and company

    policy, including site validations where required.

  • Reporting & Analysis : Prepare daily / weekly dashboards and reports for
  • management, tracking project status (WIP, completed, delayed, cancelled),

    reasons for deviation, expenses, and planned vs. actual closures.

  • Asset & Capex Management : Partner with Facility and Retail Infra Head for
  • effective asset tracking and capex optimisation across the city.

  • Finance Support for Sales & Operations : Be the go-to expert for all billing,
  • collection, vendor payment, customer invoicing, and taxation queries. Support

    seamless accounting, book closure, and order fulfilment for the city.

  • Process Vigilance : Ensure project validation, quality checks, and robust
  • process control, minimising risks and escalations.

    Requirements

  • MBA / CA / ICWA (Must)
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in credit control, revenue accounting, payable s, and
  • taxation, preferably with exposure to city-level financial operations

  • Track record in high-volume, fast-paced operations, and cross-functional
  • leadership

  • Advanced MS Excel skills; proficiency in SQL / data analytics preferred
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills to enforce
  • accountability city-wide

  • Detail-oriented and assertive in enforcing policies and processes
  • Prior experience in project margin analysis, capex / opex review, and direct city
  • or business leadership is desirable
