Your Mission : The Role

The Executive Solver : Scaling the AI-Native Future from the Front Lines

You are the Executive Architect and Commercial Owner of the entire Modern Product Engineering BU. You are a technically accountable, outcome-delivering leader who not only defines the global standards for our engineering and AI-powered solutions but also owns the P&L and market success of the entire function.

This is a mandate to scale and standardize brilliance . You don't just lead a region; you orchestrate the success of all Modern Product Engineering Sub Business Units (SBUs), ensuring every engineer and every project globally adheres to the highest 'Process-First' standards and delivers transformative business value.

Your Responsibilities

1. Global Delivery & Operational Rigor (The Process Setter)

Unified Methodology : Define and enforce a single, unified, globally standardized 'Process-First' methodology for all software engineering delivery (Agile, CI / CD, QA, CloudOps). This mandate ensures predictable outcomes and consistent quality, eliminating delivery variability across SBUs.

Operational Efficiency & Stewardship : Drive strategic initiatives to optimize billable utilization and enhance operational efficiency across the practice.

Execution Oversight : Serve as the executive escalation point for critical delivery issues, personally intervening to resolve complex operational bottlenecks and resource constraints that threaten client timelines or quality standards.

Quality Governance : Implement and audit technical quality standards, ensuring all SBUs adhere to strict policies regarding code reviews, automated testing coverage, security best practices (OWASP), and proactive technical debt management.

2. Strategic Growth & Practice Scaling (The Practice Architect)

Talent & Scale Strategy : Own the global strategy for engineering talent acquisition, development, and retention. Implement objective metrics to assess and scale the ' Solver' DNA across the organization, ensuring we consistently staff high-impact engineering teams.

Offerings Standardization : Ensure that all regional offerings (e.g., Application Modernization, AI Product Builds) are built upon the standardized, profitable frameworks defined by the practice, accelerating speed-to-market and reducing delivery variability.

Innovation & IP : Drive the strategic integration of Generative AI and Machine Learning (ML) into all engineering practices and champion the development of IP and reusable accelerators that fundamentally improve delivery speed and quality.

3. Leadership & SBU Management (The Executive Mentor)

SBU Leadership Management : Directly lead, mentor, and manage the Directors and Managers of all engineering SBUs, holding them accountable for their regional operational consistency, talent development, and adherence to global delivery standards.

Executive Communication : Clearly articulate the engineering practice's operational status, quality metrics, and scaling strategy to the CTO and other C-suite stakeholders.

Ecosystem Partnership : Maintain executive-level relationships with key partners (GCP / AWS) to align our delivery capabilities with their product roadmaps, securing joint training and enablement opportunities.

Functional Skills

Executive Delivery & Operational Leadership

Global Delivery Standardization : Expert capability in defining, implementing, and auditing a unified, scalable delivery methodology (Agile, Scrum, Kanban) across geographically dispersed business units.

Operational Efficiency Mastery : Proven experience in managing and optimizing key operational metrics for a large consulting practice, including billable utilization, resource allocation, forecasting accuracy, and operational expense control.

Contract & Risk Governance : High proficiency in reviewing and managing complex Statement of Work (SOW) agreements, identifying and mitigating delivery risks, and navigating commercial negotiations with clients and partners.

2. Technical and Architectural Governance (Hands-On Credibility)

Cloud-Native Architectural Authority : Deep, current technical knowledge of modern system design (Microservices, Serverless, Event-Driven Architecture) on hyperscalers (GCP, AWS). The ability to personally validate and course-correct complex architectural roadmaps is non-negotiable.

Code Quality & Security Governance : Expertise in establishing and auditing mandatory technical quality standards, including automated testing targets, OWASP Top 10 compliance, and proactive management of technical debt across the entire portfolio.

Advanced Domain Expertise : Strong functional knowledge and experience leading solutions in high-growth areas like Generative AI / LLM integration, Data Engineering, and large-scale application modernization.

3. Practice Scaling & Commercial Stewardship

SBU / BU Management : Proven success in directly leading and mentoring Director / Manager-level leaders, holding them accountable for their operational metrics and talent development goals.

Offerings Strategy & Scoping : Expertise in designing, packaging, and pricing repeatable engineering service offerings (e.g., discovery workshops, defined product builds) to ensure competitive advantage and inherent profitability.

Talent Strategy & Development : Functional ability to design and implement standardized, objective growth frameworks for technical careers (e.g., L1 to Principal Engineer) and scale high-performance engineering talent globally.

Experience & Relevance

Executive Experience : Minimum 12+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a Senior Director or VP-level role managing multiple technical teams and owning significant operational and efficiency metrics for a large engineering service line.

Delivery Standardization : Demonstrated success in defining and implementing globally consistent, repeatable delivery methodologies (Agile / Scrum / DevOps) across diverse teams.

Architectural Depth : Must retain deep, current expertise in cloud-native architecture and maintain the ability to personally validate high-level architectural and delivery design decisions.

Pedigree Credentials – Advanced degree (MS / PhD) in CS / AI / Eng; proven industry disruption record; combines MBB-style strategy with a builder’s execution bias.
