Job description

About the Role :

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our content and marketing team. The ideal candidate should have a strong eye for storytelling, visual aesthetics, pacing, and rhythm — with hands-on experience in editing videos for social media, campaigns, and digital ads.

Key Responsibilities :

Ingest media : offload footage, label, organise, back up.
Create proxies, conform sequences, prep dailies / selects.
Sync audio / video, organise media into bins / timelines.
Assemble rough cuts under your direction.
Execute cuts, trimming, transitions, basic refinement.
Motion graphics : apply lower-thirds, titles, basic animations.
Colour grading : working in a wide-gamut workflow (see below) under your supervision.
Export / encode to required deliverables : web, broadcast, social formats.
File management & housekeeping : archive assets, maintain project folder structure, ensure backups.
Work closely with you in feedback loops : take notes, make revisions, maintain versioning.

Required Skills / Experience :

Proficiency with DaVinci Resolve (strong preference).

Motion graphics skills (e.g., Adobe After Effects or equivalent).

Understanding of colour correction / grading workflows, including working in a wide-gamut colour space (e.g., DaVinci Wide Gamut).

Comfortable working in a commercial / brand-video environment (multiple formats, deadlines).

Excellent organisation : media asset management, naming conventions, backups.

Good communication : take direction, ask clarifying questions, keep you updated.
