Job Title : Associate Director, Safety Operations

About the Role :

We are seeking a seasoned leader to oversee our Safety Operations team. As an Associate Director, you will lead a team of professionals responsible for ensuring compliance with safety standards and protocols.

Key Responsibilities :

Collaborate with other operations specialists to address problem areas, work scheduling, staffing needs, equipment needs, and projected peak workloads, ensuring global consistency.
Ensure direct reports are cross-trained on Safety service offerings.
Monitor and develop training plans.
Identify training and development needs of staff in collaboration with the Training team and Safety Management.
Lead and encourage direct reports in continuous improvement of departmental work processes, procedures, and infrastructure.
Work closely with Safety Management to achieve project and customer deliverables.
Hold bi-monthly meetings with direct reports to discuss project status, timelines, delivery updates, financial aspects, and potential risks.
Create and implement plans for measuring and improving employee engagement.
Maintain open communication with direct reports to ensure a supportive working environment.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in a scientific or healthcare discipline.

Bachelor's degree in life sciences or a related field, and up to 10 years of relevant experience, inclusive of up to 5 years of PV experience, and up to 4 years of experience managing a workforce of up to 100 employees.

In-depth knowledge of Safety service lines.

Strong business acumen, financial management, and budgeting skills.

Proven staff management skills, strong leadership, motivational, and influencing skills.

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, direct reports, managers, and customers at a senior level.

Autonomous independent decision-making, problem-solving, and judgment skills.

Ability to achieve results through communication, facilitation, negotiations in a matrix service delivery environment.

Demonstrate excellent flexibility, self-motivation, creativity, innovation, and solutions-driven approach.
