Immediate Start : Indirect Tax Manager

VA Tech Wabag is seeking an accomplished professional to lead the Indirect Tax function across India. This role demands extensive knowledge of GST and other indirect tax regulations in the respective regions. The ideal candidate will oversee compliance, transactional tax management, audits, and process improvements, ensuring timely and accurate adherence to tax laws while optimizing business efficiency.

In this role, you will manage all applicable taxes i.e. GST, Directly responsible for tax advisory, assessments, litigation, Appeal, Monthly GST Compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES – YOUR KEY FOCUS WILL BE

• Responsible for GSTR1, GSTR3B, ISD (GSTR06), IMS, GSTR9 & GSTR9C compliance in time and identify tax optimization opportunities. Effective & efficient tax controversy management.
• Streamline the collection of free cash flow through effective GST refund processes. Improve the liquidation of Input Tax Credit (ITC) accumulations across all entities.
• Ensure closure of Monthly & Quarterly GST GL Recon, GST between Return VS Books.
• Monitor changes in indirect tax laws and assess their impact on business operations.
• Ensure Monthly GSTR2B VS PR recon, Incremental ITC recon and follow-up with stake-holders for intime closure.
• Provide advisory support on indirect tax implications for contracts, cross-border supplies, and procurement activities.
• Optimize tax credit utilization to minimize tax liabilities.
• Having sound knowledge upon ASMT10, SCN reply and follow-up with GST Dept for in time reply & closure.
