Company Overview
Bellatrix Aerospace™ is a new age space mobility company that develops and manufactures advanced propulsion technologies for a wide range of missions, from deploying and phasing satellite constellations to ferrying multi-ton communication satellites to the geo-stationary orbit.
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Senior Flight dynamics Engineer / Mission Design Engineer to join our team, specializing in the design, analysis, optimization of satellite orbits and fine-tuning the mission profile from the beginning to end of life for the range of our upcoming spacecrafts.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and analyse satellite orbits and model relevant manoeuvres for a variety of missions, including those to LEO, MEO, GEO, and interplanetary destinations.
- Assist in the process of satellite navigation, orbital transfer strategies, station-keeping manoeuvres, and end-of-life de-orbit planning.
- Perform high-fidelity simulations of satellite missions using self-developed scripts and trajectory models required for FoV studies, sunlight illumination analysis and ground station visibility as dictated by the requirements coming from GNC, Power, Thermal and RF communication subsystems.
- Collaborate with Systems Engineer to integrate orbital designs into mission plan architectures.
- Conduct trade-off studies to evaluate mission scenarios, optimal trajectory selection, and propulsion needs for keeping delta-v budget minimized.
- Generate detailed reports and visualizations of mission analyses to support decision-making in the mission operations of the spacecraft.
