NeoDx Point of Care Testing for the Detection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Multi-Drug Resistant Mutations in Pulmonary and Extra-Pulmonary Samples

No. of Positions : Project Type :

Temporary & Project-based (Initially for 1 year, extendable up to 2 years or until completion of the project, whichever is earlier)

Primary Role :

To provide technical support for molecular diagnostic research activities, specifically involving Real-Time PCR–based assays for infectious disease studies. The role includes conducting laboratory experiments, managing clinical samples, ensuring biosafety compliance, and maintaining accurate documentation to support the successful execution of the project.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform experimental work involving Real-Time PCR (qPCR) technology , including assay setup, data analysis, and interpretation.
  • Handle and process clinical samples;

prior experience with tuberculosis (TB) samples is an advantage.

  • Work in compliance with BSL-2 laboratory safety standards , ensuring adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) .
  • Prepare and maintain scientific documentation , technical reports, and experimental records in accordance with project and regulatory requirements.
  • Desired Skills & Experience :

  • Hands-on experience in Real-Time PCR assay development or validation .
  • Prior exposure to clinical microbiology or molecular diagnostics projects.
  • Strong understanding of biosafety protocols and laboratory quality systems.
  • Excellent scientific writing and reporting skills .
  • Qualification

    Graduate in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Microbiology / Biochemistry with 3 years’ experience OR Master’s degree in a relevant subject

    Consolidated Salary :

    ₹36,400 / - per month
