Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Data and Strategy MI Analyst to support the development and execution of data-driven strategies across our banking operations.

This role focuses on delivering high-quality management information (MI), supporting strategic decision-making, and building robust data structures to empower business insights.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the banking domain, experience working with large datasets, and a proven ability to translate data into actionable strategies.

This role requires hands-on experience with data mart design / Data Pipeline design, SAS / SQL / BI Tools, working knowledge of core banking data (e.g., customer, account, credit, and transaction tables), and strong analytical acumen to develop and maintain strategic reporting and KPIs.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design and implement data-driven banking strategies.
  • Support the development of strategies focused on improving customer acquisition, engagement, retention, profitability, and portfolio risk management using robust data analysis.
  • Collaborate with credit risk teams across the credit lifecycle.
  • Partner with Credit Risk and Business teams to create and monitor strategies for customer originations, credit line assignments, behavioral risk management, collections, and recoveries.
  • Analyze product performance and profitability.
  • Evaluate the performance of key banking products such as savings, loans, and credit cards by analyzing customer behavior, usage patterns, and profitability drivers.
  • Recommend improvements based on insights.
  • Develop and manage Management Information (MI) reporting.
  • Create and maintain regular and ad-hoc reports to track business performance, monitor KPIs, and support senior management decision-making.
  • Ensure reports are timely, accurate, and aligned with business goals.
  • Work with core banking data sets.
  • Analyze and interpret structured data from key domains such as :

1. Customer tables demographics, onboarding status, segmentation.

2. Account tables product types, statuses, balances.

3. Credit tables applications, approvals, scores, limits.

4. Transaction tables payment behavior, categories, frequency.

  • Support data mart development and enhancement.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to build and enhance data marts that serve as the foundation for reporting and analytics.
  • Ensure data structures are scalable, consistent, and aligned with business logic.
  • Ensure data integrity and governance.
  • Monitor data quality and consistency across systems.
  • Apply data governance principles to ensure secure, accurate, and compliant use of data in all reporting and analysis activities.
  • Automate and improve reporting processes.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate recurring reports using SQL and BI tools.
  • Reduce manual work and improve efficiency of data delivery.
  • Translate business needs into data requirements.
  • Work with stakeholders across departments (e.g., product, risk, operations) to understand their objectives and translate them into technical reporting and analytical solutions.
  • Deliver strategic insights and recommendations.
  • Present complex data and insights in a clear, concise, and actionable way to support business growth, optimize processes, and improve financial outcomes.
