About the Role :
The Marketing Research Lead will play a crucial role in supporting iMerit’s global marketing and
sales organization by supporting diverse marketing initiatives by identifying right target
accounts, contacts and use cases specific to these accounts. This role will enable our sales and
marketing functions to enhance marketing effectiveness, improve lead generation, and provide
actionable insights to support sales pipeline development.
Responsibilities
Lead Generation :
Research industries and companies to identify product-market fit and revenue scaling opportunities. KPI : Number of new opportunities identified per month.
Identify key contacts within target companies using specific personas and titles for outbound marketing and sales. KPI : Number of key contacts identified and added to the CRM per week.
Identify use cases in each account which helps in personalizing the interactions
Market Research :
Conduct competitor analysis to understand offerings and market positioning. KPI :
Completion of competitor analysis reports (with actionable insights) on a
quarterly basis.
Utilize web-based tools for information gathering and data scraping to build
potential lead lists. KPI : Number of qualified leads generated via data scraping
tools monthly.
Look for intent signals to identify the accounts having higher possibility of
conversion. KPI : Number of accounts flagged based on intent signals per month.
Prioritize the use cases based on performance and inputs from Sales
Marketing Support :
Collaborate with marketing to ensure accurate lead management tracking and
revenue attribution.
KPI : Accuracy rate of lead tracking reports (target : 95%
accuracy).
Track the quality and performance of accounts and contacts and share quarterly
report.
KPI : Number of actionable insights generated from data analysis per
quarter.
Provide valuable information on contacts and companies to assist the sales team.
KPI : Average feedback score from the sales team on the quality of information
provided (on a scale of 1-10) with target >
Understanding of marketing campaigns (email, outbound) for the contacts and
accounts mined and some part of execution using marketing tools.
KPI : Number
of campaigns where contact insights were used and the conversion rate of those
campaigns.
Working Approach
Work on alternating Saturdays from home or occasionally in the office.
Travel when needed (at least once in a quarter)
Adaptable hours to connect with global teams.
Proven ability to thrive in a self-starting environment.
Comfortable working with data and attention to detail.
Strong organization and time management skills.

Qualifications
3-5 years of relevant experience in research, lead generation, or revenue
operations
Minimum of 3 years in a multinational company and working with global
stakeholders and teams.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or a
related field.
Prior experience in database tools like zoominfo, SalesNavigator, Apollo, or Lusha
Experience in data analysis and reporting, including dashboard creation.
Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects.
Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, solve problems and present clear
solutions.
Preferred Experience
Understanding of database and tools to mine the database.
Reporting skills on database snapshots and reporting in Salesforce or equivalent
tools.
Strong project management and collaboration skills working with a variety of
departments and stakeholders.
Strong English communication skills (written, verbal, negotiation and challenging
capabilities).
Experience in researching market trends in AI / Machine Learning / Data Science.
