Job Overview

Chiselon Technologies Pvt Ltd seeks a skilled Software Test Engineer to join our team in Hyderabad. This is a full-time, mid-level position requiring a minimum of 4 to a maximum of 6 years of work experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of software products by designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions.

Qualifications and Skills

Minimum 4 years of experience in software testing with solid understanding of quality assurance processes.
Proficiency in Docker (Mandatory skill) with practical experience in containerization in testing environments.
Strong experience with TestNG (Mandatory skill) for designing and executing test cases in Java environments.
Expertise in Cucumber (Mandatory skill) for behavior-driven development and automated acceptance testing.
Thorough knowledge of Agile methodologies and their application in software testing processes.
Skilled in various scripting languages for test automation and process improvement.
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities with an analytical mindset for identifying software defects.
Familiarity with Testrail or similar test management tools for tracking and reporting testing activities.

Roles and Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for software releases ensuring software functionality and performance.

Collaborate closely with software developers to comprehend product modifications and diagnose any issues.

Implement testing procedures for new software features and conduct regression testing for existing systems.

Utilize automation tools to streamline testing processes and reduce manual testing efforts.

Identify, document, and track software defects using established defect tracking processes.

Participate in peer reviews of test plans, specifications, and results to ensure high-quality outputs.

Contribute to continuous improvement practices by suggesting enhancements to test methodologies and tools.

Prepare and present testing reports and summaries to stakeholders, communicating quality metrics and problem areas.
