Job description

Purpose of the Role

The purpose of this role is to work closely with the Product Expert, SAP Integration, and support external service providers as well as the Zoetis ITS infrastructure, functional, and integration teams to assist in design, implementation, and sustaining systems and solutions to support the global Animal Health business.

  • The primary purpose is to facilitate seamless connectivity and interoperability between various systems and applications within the organization using the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, providing solutions that align with business objectives, and implementing scalable and reliable applications on the SAP BTP Integration Suite.
  • Experience in Designing and developing integration solutions using SAP BTP-IS tools and technologies, such as SAP Cloud Integration or SAP Process Orchestration (SAP PO).
  • Expertise in programming languages like Java, Groovy, or JavaScript, as well as knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and standards (e.g., REST, SOAP, OData).
  • Expertise in providing technical support to resolve integration-related issues and incidents, including root cause analysis and problem resolution.
  • Configuring and customizing integration solutions to meet specific business needs, including mapping data formats, defining communication protocols, and orchestrating business processes.
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including design documents, user guides, and release notes.
  • Conducting testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing, to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of integration solutions.
  • A good understanding of SAP ERP / S4HANA systems and cloud technologies with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Coordinating and ensuring infrastructural aspects are taken care of appropriately with respect to integration.

Organizational Relationships

  • Interacting with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements, understand business processes, and ensure that technical solutions align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Work with implementation partners who may be responsible for deploying, configuring, or maintaining integrated solutions within the client's IT landscape.
  • Coordinate with developers and other members of the development team to implement technical system solutions, share knowledge, and address technical challenges.

    • Education and Experience

    Education :

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Technical, System Administration, IT Infrastructure Management, or Business field.

    • Experience :

  • At least 5 years of experience in development in SAP CPI / BTP-IS.
  • At least 8 years of experience in SAP PI / PO.
  • At least 3 years of experience with CI-DS.
  • Strong experience in Groovy scripts / JavaScript.
  • Good understanding of BTP - API Management.

    • Technical Skills Requirements

  • Expertise in Upgrade, Migration, Implementation, and Production Support Projects, along with a keen passion to stay up to date with the latest technologies and coming up with PoCs for how they can be used by clients.
  • Understanding of integration concepts, including synchronous and asynchronous communication, message mapping, and data transformation.
  • Understanding of SAP IDoc, RFC, BAPI, and other SAP interfaces for integration purposes.
  • Familiarity with integration patterns and best practices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot integration issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Experience using Integration or BTP features like API Management, Event Mesh, REST / SOAP / OData, Integration Advisor, and Open Connectors.
  • Handled at least one end-to-end SAP Implementation, upgrade, Migration, and Global Rollouts.
  • Experience in application development utilizing BTP-IS / XI / PI / PO – involving File, SFTP, Advantco SFTP, MDM, RFC, XI, JMS, JDBC, IDOC, IDOC_AEE, SOAP, Mail, HTTP, AS2, EDI Separator, and REST adapters.
  • Should have good analytical skills to understand the requirement better and should be able to work independently with clients and partners.

    • Physical Position Requirements

  • Regular working hours are from 3 : 00 AM to 12 : 00 PM EST . (ICC Second Shift)
  • Sometimes, more overlap with the EST time zone is required during production go-live.
