About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Application Support Engineer with strong hands-on L2 / L3 support experience in commodities trading or financial services environments . This is a business-facing, front-office support role requiring deep technical expertise, ownership of incidents, and the ability to work in a fast-paced 24x7 environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide L2 / L3 application support for critical trading applications (e.g., Endur, Trayport )Lead incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysisEnsure high availability and rapid resolution for front-office users (traders, risk, operations)Support applications hosted on Microsoft Azure (App Services, Functions, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB)Work closely with business users, developers, infrastructure, and vendorsAct as SME during releases, changes, and production issuesDevelop minor code fixes, scripts, and automation to improve stability and efficiencyMaintain documentation, runbooks, and knowledge baseMentor and guide junior support team membersMandatory Requirements
10–15 years of application support experienceStrong front-office, business-facing support in commodities trading / financial servicesStrong SQL skills (queries, optimization, stored procedures)Experience supporting real-time trading environmentsGood understanding of Azure cloud operationsWillingness to work in a 24x7 support environmentTechnical Skills
