Your Career

We seek a Sr Staff Software Engineer to join the Cortex DevOps group, based at our India Development Center (IDC), who is, first and foremost, a software craftsman with a passion for building innovative tools and platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a deep-rooted background in software engineering and a strong understanding of the needs and challenges of R&D and DevOps teams. This role is for a true developer at heart, someone who excels at building high-quality, maintainable, and scalable software. If you have a passion for creating tools that enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support the operational needs of a growing infrastructure, you're the candidate we're looking for.

Your Impact

You will write high-quality product and system development code that contributes to the core functionality of our tools and applications

You will participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders, driving alignment around best design practices

You will review code developed by your peers to ensure adherence to best practices in style, efficiency, testability, and reliability

You will contribute to technical documentation to support the development and maintenance of internal systems

You will provide operational support for tools and applications maintained by the Cortex DevOps Tooling team

You will maintain and build resilient infrastructure with a strong focus on performance, security, and sound system design principles.

Qualifications

Your Experience

7+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, demonstrating deep technical expertise, a passion for innovation, and a strong commitment to building highly reliable, scalable systems that meet strict service level objectives.

Graduate degree in the field of Computer Science.

Proficiency with software development in one or more programming languages (Python preferred)

Proficiency in developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with Compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.

Proficiency with any major Cloud Provider(s) like GCP, AWS, Azure.

Experience with developing, deploying, and / or maintaining micro-services architecture with Kubernetes

Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering.

Ability to grasp new technologies quickly and prioritize and multitask on multiple responsibilities.
