Senior Science Writer - Medical Communications

We are seeking a skilled Medical Communications Specialist to develop high-quality scientific, medical, and educational materials for clients. This includes MSL / training slide decks, infographics, congress and meetings materials, literature searches and reviews, standard response letters / medical information letters, and HCP engagement content.

The specialist will also review and supervise deliverables from junior writers, mentor and train junior writers, maintain product / account knowledge, build strong relationships with clients, advise on strategic plans, participate in client pitches, communicate effectively with team members, develop digital medical communications initiatives, create visual content, and ensure compliance with client requirements and SOPs.

The ideal candidate has a PhD / MD in medicine, life sciences, health sciences, pharmacy, pharmacology; MPharm / MSc with a good understanding of clinical research and medical communication. They should have 7-10 years of experience in writing and reviewing Scientific / Medical Communications for Medical Affairs or biopharma, preferably in an agency setting.

The candidate must have clear, concise scientific writing skills, strong ability to interpret, evaluate, and present scientific data, good understanding of biostatistics, MS Office, and literature review, with a keen eye for synthesizing complex information. They should be skilled in developing digital content, experienced in organizing and contributing to congresses and advisory board meetings, excellent communicator adept at simplifying complex ideas, strong relationship-building and negotiation skills, effective leader with experience mentoring and developing junior writers, highly organized and accountable, resilient under pressure, adaptable to shifting demands, and supportive of team success.

This is a remote-first organization that embraces an 'accelerate from anywhere culture'. The role requires occasional travel based on business requirements or for company / team events.
