Position Title :

SAP Functional Consultant – Manufacturing (PP / QM)

Location : Zoetis ICC, Hyderabad

Primary Purpose

This role is responsible for delivering SAP Production Planning (PP), Plant Maintenance (PM), and Quality Management (QM) solutions within Zoetis' global ERP landscape. The role also includes integration with Lab Information Management Systems (LIMS) and related third-party applications. This consultant will act as a solution architect and functional expert, ensuring delivery of reliable, compliant, and efficient manufacturing and quality systems aligned with business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as SAP Functional Architect and Solution Designer for PP-PM and QM modules.
  • Analyze and understand business requirements, gather and validate scope, and estimate efforts.
  • Hands-on configuration and testing of SAP PP-PM and QM solutions.
  • Lead SAP enhancements and integration initiatives for manufacturing, lab, and quality systems.
  • Drive compliance with GxP, audit, and SOX requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders for end-to-end solution integration.
  • Mentor junior team members and manage contractors or colleagues if assigned.
  • Support process improvement and performance monitoring initiatives across the SAP landscape.

Organizational Relationships

  • Collaborate with ERP / Non-ERP teams to align solution design and delivery with business goals.
  • Work with business leadership to ensure SAP Manufacturing solutions support strategic objectives.
  • Partner with implementation vendors and external system providers for end-to-end integration.
  • Lead communication with auditors, SOX, and compliance teams for system validation and reporting.

    • Education and Experience

    Education :

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • MBA or master's in Operations Management or Manufacturing preferred.

    • Experience :

  • 8+ years of SAP delivery and configuration experience with at least 3 full lifecycle implementations.
  • Deep knowledge and hands-on experience in SAP PP, QM, and PM modules.
  • Industry experience in pharmaceuticals or life sciences preferred.
  • Familiarity with GxP compliance and validation practices.
  • Experience with SAP S / 4HANA preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing system integrations and cross-functional design.

    • Technical Skills Requirements

  • Configuration expertise in SAP ECC 6.0 and S / 4HANA :
  • Production Planning (PP / PP-PI) : MRP, MPS, Shop Floor Control, Capacity Planning, Discrete & Repetitive Manufacturing, Variant Configuration, Subcontracting.
  • Quality Management (QM) : Quality Planning, Inspections, Notifications, Control, Audits, and Certifications.
  • Integration : Interfaces with LIMS and third-party systems.
  • Functional design documentation, impact analysis, and estimation for enhancement and projects.
  • Proficiency in :
  • Smart Forms (Calibration Certificates, Preventive Maintenance Sheets, etc.)
  • Data Migration (LSMW)
  • SQVI Reporting and custom report development.
  • Experience managing development and testing phases : Unit, Integration, UAT.
  • Ability to lead BBP (Business Blueprint) sessions and prepare documentation.
  • Hands-on ABAP debugging (preferred) and coordination with technical teams for solution realization.

    • Physical Position Requirements

  • Location : Hyderabad, India
  • Working Hours : 3 : 00 AM to 12 : 00 PM EST (ICC Second Shift)
  • Flexibility : EST timezone overlap may be required for go-lives and critical deployments.
  • Travel : 20–50% depending on project demands.
  • Additional Requirements : Occasional weekend availability to minimize business impact of changes.
