Job descriptionDesign and Develop Visualizations : Create advanced, interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI that enable stakeholders to explore data, uncover trends, and make informed decisions. Data Integration and Modelling : Connect disparate data sources, model data efficiently, and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using SQL and AWS services. Cloud-Based Data Solutions : Utilize AWS services (such as Redshift, S3, RDS, Lambda, and Glue) for scalable data storage, processing, and deployment of visualisation solutions. Performance Optimization : Optimize dashboards and queries for speed, reliability, and scalability, ensuring a seamless user experience across teams and functions. Collaboration : Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to gather requirements, iterate on designs, and deliver solutions that meet evolving business objectives. Agile & Scrum Practices : Participate in Agile and Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews. Contribute to sprint goals and collaborate in cross-functional teams. Documentation and Training : Maintain clear documentation of data models, visualisations, and processes. Train end-users and internal teams on dashboard use and best practices. Quality Assurance : Conduct rigorous testing and validation of visualisations, ensuring data accuracy and integrity at all stages. Continuous Improvement : Stay abreast of the latest visualisation trends, Power BI features, AWS advancements, and data management methodologies. Proactively propose enhancements to existing solutions. Security and Compliance : Ensure all visualisation solutions adhere to company data governance policies, security protocols, and relevant compliance standards. Proficiency in Power BI : Demonstrated experience designing and developing complex dashboards, custom visuals, DAX queries, and Power BI service deployment. AWS Expertise : Hands-on experience with AWS data services such as Redshift, S3, RDS, Lambda, and Glue. Ability to integrate AWS cloud data sources with visualization tools. Strong SQL Skills : Advanced SQL capabilities for data extraction, transformation, and modeling. Familiarity with various relational databases. Agile & Scrum Experience : Proven track record working in Agile environments, participating in Scrum teams, and delivering iterative value in sprints. Data Modeling : Experience with designing and implementing data models that facilitate efficient reporting and analysis. Analytical Mindset : Ability to analyze business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver actionable insights. Communication : Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for explaining complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Problem Solving : A resourceful approach to troubleshooting data, visualization, or performance issues. Attention to Detail : Strong commitment to data accuracy, quality assurance, and documentation. Continuous Learner : Eagerness to learn about new technologies, visualization techniques, and industry best practices. Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field. Professional certifications in Power BI, AWS, or Agile / Scrum methodologies. Experience with other visualization tools (such as Tableau, QlikView, or Looker) is a plus. Exposure to Python or R for data analysis and integration. Experience working with APIs to source and integrate data. Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines for data and visualization products. Knowledge of data governance, privacy regulations, and compliance standards relevant to data visualization.
