Sustainable Carbon Registry is “the registry for high-integrity carbon markets,” connecting stakeholders on a transparent, science-based platform. SCR’s core principles emphasize transparency (open flow-of-funds), innovation (supporting novel approaches), and quality (additionality, robust quantification, no double counting). Projects follow lifecycle from information gathering through PDD development, validation by accredited VVBs, and credit issuance , all grounded in ISO 14064-2 principles (accuracy, completeness, consistency, relevance, transparency, conservativeness).
Role : Project Developer (SCR)
You are the single-threaded owner who takes a project from first contact to VVB submission and on to listing. You orchestrate stakeholders, collect evidence, and turn expert guidance into clean, versioned, audit-ready documentation that aligns with SCR’s lifecycle and principles.
Responsibilities-
- Own the project journey : run intake → scope → timeline; coordinate with SCR Relationship Manager, Method team, and VVBs.
- Draft and maintain core docs using SCR templates : PDD, monitoring protocols, baseline / additionality, leakage & permanence, safeguards, QA / QC, and evidence manifests aligned to SCR’s 7-step process. Sustainable Carbon Registry
- Evidence & parameters : build the evidence plan, compile data sources, complete parameter sheets, and ensure provenance.
- Method alignment : collaborate with Method Engineers / Lead to confirm existing method vs. new / variant, and capture applicability / gaps.
- Validation pack : assemble the full submission (PDD + annexes + parameter registry + calculator worked examples) for independent third-party validation by accredited VVBs; manage Q&A and disposition logs. Sustainable Carbon Registry
- Versioned, testable docs : run a docs-as-code workflow (Markdown / Git), keep change logs, and ensure links / IDs are consistent with registry records.
- Stakeholder coordination : schedule checkpoints, keep CRM / KYC status current, and prepare for listing / issuance after validation per SCR’s lifecycle. Sustainable Carbon Registry
Qualifications-
Experience : 4–8+ years in carbon project development, MRV / standards documentation, VVB / CB work, or regulated technical documentation.MRV fundamentals : working knowledge of additionality, baselines, monitoring, leakage / permanence, uncertainty, and safeguards; comfort with ISO-aligned processes and independent validation. Sustainable Carbon RegistryDocumentation strength : you can turn technical inputs into clear, testable documents (tables, units, assumptions, data sources, and acceptance criteria).Data & tools : fluency with spreadsheets; familiarity with parameter registries and simple QA checks; bonus for Markdown / Git and light Python / JSON.Collaboration : confident interfacing with project owners, engineers, and accredited VVBs; crisp written communication and deadline discipline.Ethos : bias toward transparency, quality, and continuous improvement—aligned with SCR’s principles and 7-step lifecycle.
