Unit Head - Distillery Business

Job Profile in short : Expertise in Distillery projects, Ethanol Projects, quality control, cost control, Maintenance, Budget analysis, profitability etc. Must be working as Unit Head in a Large Distillery Plant.

Experience: 15-25 years in distillery or ethanol production, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., Plant Head).

Bsc. / Msc with DIFAT

Age max 50 Yrs

Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of grain/molasses-based fermentation and distillation.

Role & Responsibilities:

- Oversee daily operations of the distillery plant including fermentation, distillation, and maturation processes.

- Ensure production targets, quality, and yield standards are met or exceeded.

- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team including production, maintenance, quality, safety, and logistics.

- Monitor and optimize plant efficiency, energy usage, and raw material consumption.

- Maintain all regulatory and statutory compliances as per Excise, Pollution Control Board, and Factory norms.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Lean, TPM, etc.) to enhance productivity and reduce downtime.

- Implement and monitor safety protocols and EHS standards across the plant.

- Prepare and manage plant budgets, cost control, and MIS reporting.

- Coordinate with procurement, supply chain, and sales teams for smooth operation and dispatch planning.

- Troubleshoot operational issues and ensure minimal production downtime.

Other Skills :

- In-depth knowledge of distillation processes, fermentation technologies, and utilities.

- Strong understanding of statutory laws including Excise, Pollution, Labour, and Safety.
