Responsibilities :
- Conduct initial intake assessments to evaluate students' psychological concerns and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group therapy to students dealing with a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties.
- Offer crisis intervention services for students experiencing acute psychological distress or suicidal ideation.
- Collaborate with campus staff, faculty, and external resources to coordinate care and support services for students with complex needs.
- Develop and facilitate psychoeducational workshops, support groups, and outreach programs to promote mental health awareness and resilience among students.
- Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation, including intake notes, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
- Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and contribute to a supportive work environment.
- Stay informed about current research, best practices, and trends in the field of college mental health and integrate this knowledge into clinical practice.
- Adhere to professional ethics and standards of conduct established by relevant licensing boards and professional organizations.
- Contribute to the overall mission of the counseling center by actively participating in departmental initiatives, committees, and special projects as assigned.
