Job description

We are seeking a Senior Manager to lead an Agile product squad for our Clinical Data Hub Team . In this vital role, you will be responsible for defining the vision and strategy for a range of Clinical Data products supporting Amgen Clinical Trial Design & Analytics . The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in business analysis, system design, and project management, with an expert understanding of the clinical development process. You will collaborate closely with statisticians, data scientists, and engineers to translate business needs into innovative and effective technology products.

Roles & Responsibilities

Product Leadership & Strategy : Define and communicate the product feature vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives. You will create, prioritize, and maintain the feature backlog, and work closely with teams to implement sprints and deliver the highest priority features.
Agile & Technical Collaboration : Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. You will work within an Agile product development environment, participating in ceremonies and processes to ensure successful delivery.
Platform Management & Compliance : Oversee the day-to-day management of technology platforms, ensuring they meet performance, security, and availability requirements. You will ensure platforms comply with security standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
Data & Process Expertise : Maintain an in-depth knowledge of clinical development business domains, with an emphasis on data assets and data pipelines. You will leverage this expertise to analyze customer feedback and identify opportunities for product improvement.
Global Team Coordination : Ensure the AIN team creates robust written materials and other artifacts to facilitate efficient and effective collaboration across time zones. You will oversee the resolution of service-related incidents and problems to minimize business impact.

Qualifications

A Master's degree with extensive Information Systems experience, or a Bachelor's degree with significant experience, or a Diploma with a substantial background in Information Systems.

An expert understanding and experience of the clinical development process within Life Sciences, including SDTM & AdaM standards and global clinical trial data sources.

A solid foundation in modern software design and engineering practices, with a good understanding of technologies such as Python, R, AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM), Docker , and CI / CD / Gitlab .

Experience in Agile product development as a participating member of a scrum team.

High learning agility and a demonstrated ability to quickly grasp and apply ever-changing technology and clinical development domain knowledge.

Training or a degree in Computer Science, Biology, or Chemistry is a plus.
