In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and managing Optiver India’s Operations function, ensuring seamless clearing, settlement, collateral, and regulatory processes to support our business across asset classes. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to build and maintain a best-in-class operations platform.
What you’ll do
As a Middle Office Manager , you’ll work alongside a passionate team of specialists, focusing on key areas that ensure Optiver’s trading activities run smoothly and securely. Responsibilities include :
- Setting up and managing the operations function to support business activities in Equity Derivatives, Currency Derivatives, Equity Cash Segments, and eventually Commodities Derivatives.
- Working with internal stakeholders and external vendors to design and implement appropriate systems, processes and controls for trade settlement and risk management.
- Establishing and managing processes for day-to-day clearing and settlement of funds / securities with clearing members, stock exchanges and clearing corporations.
- Managing Collateral (cash, bank guarantees, government securities) with clearing members and clearing corporations.
- Ensuring accurate reconciliation of trades and positions with clearing members and clearing corporations, along with bank, DP account and CSGL account reconciliations.
- Overseeing cash management activities including fund transfers for margins, settlement obligations and fees.
- Leading regulatory reporting processes and coordinating periodic regulatory audits.
- Coordinating yearly statutory and ICFR audits, ensuring key controls in the trade life cycle are in place and effective.
- Building and maintaining relationships with stock exchanges, clearing corporations, banks, depository participants and CSGL custodians.

7+ years of experience managing operations within a reputed stock broking / trading firm.Bachelor’s degree in finance, Commerce or Business (Chartered Accountant, MBA or equivalent qualification preferred).Demonstrated ability to manage small teams and deliver results in a high-performing environment.Strong attention to detail with proven expertise in operational activities.Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.A proactive, results-driven mindset with a passion for operational excellence.I f you have any questions, feel free to contact our Recruitment team via Please note : We cannot accept applications via email for data protection reasons.
