Head - Purchase (Machine Tool)

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and manage the purchasing department for machine tools, ensuring strategic sourcing and cost optimization.
• Develop and execute procurement strategies for machine tools and related equipment.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers and manufacturers.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
• Monitor market trends, evaluate supplier performance, and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to understand tool requirements and inventory needs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and quality standards in the procurement process.
• Oversee the budget for machine tool procurement and ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions.
• Manage a team of procurement professionals and provide training and guidance.
• Handle any purchasing-related issues, including disputes with suppliers or delays in delivery.
• Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels to prevent downtime in production.
