Job Summary :
The Data Governance Analyst will play a key role in supporting Inigo’s data governance function, with a focus on master data management (MDM), reference data management (RDM), and data quality. The role ensures that customer and reference data are well-governed, accurate, and consistently applied across multiple business systems. In addition, the analyst will be responsible for managing Inigo’s data catalogue and business glossary, ensuring business definitions and data assets are documented, accessible, and aligned across the organisation. This role is central to maintaining trusted, high-quality data that underpins business decision-making and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Master Data Management (Customer)
- Support the customer mastering solution to ensure a single, accurate, and complete view of customer data across systems.
- Maintain and monitor MDM processes, including data matching, survivorship rules, and deduplication.
- Work with data stewards to ensure that customer attributes are validated, corrected, and enriched when necessary.
- Support integration of mastered customer data into downstream systems.
Reference Data Management
Maintain a central catalogue of reference data sources and ensure consistency of codes and classifications across applications.Validate reference data from upstream systems and confirm authoritative sources for each domain.Coordinate updates and changes to reference data (e.g., trade codes, cause codes, NAICS, currencies).Collaborate with system owners and business stakeholders to align reference data usage and resolve conflicts.Data Catalogue & Business Glossary
Manage data catalogue, ensuring datasets, lineage, and ownership details are up to date.Maintain the business glossary by working with data owners, stewards, and business users to define and validate key business terms.Collaborate with project teams to ensure new data assets are documented in the catalogue and aligned with governance standards.Drive adoption of the catalogue as the central source for business and technical data knowledge.Data Quality Monitoring & Governance
Run daily / weekly monitoring of data quality dashboards and rules (completeness, validity, accuracy, uniqueness, timeliness).Investigate and resolve data quality exceptions, escalating persistent issues to business owners.Contribute to the development and refinement of data quality rules and controls.Maintain documentation, including data dictionaries, lineage, and quality logs.Governance & Stakeholder Engagement
Provide reporting and insights on the status of customer data quality and reference data health.Act as the first line of support for business queries relating to master data, reference data, and data definitions.Contribute to continuous improvement of governance processes, tools, and standards.Skills & Experience
Essential :
Experience working with data governance, master data management, or reference data management in a complex environment.Strong knowledge of data management concepts (master data, reference data, data quality, business glossary, data lineage).Practical experience with data quality monitoring and issue management.Familiarity with data catalogues and metadata management tools.Good SQL / data analysis and Power BI skills to investigate data quality issues.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Understanding of regulatory and audit requirements related to Lloyds dataDesirable :
Hands-on experience with MDM tools (e.g., Profisee, Informatica, Reltio, Microsoft MDS).Experience with data catalogue platforms (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Purview).Familiarity with insurance / financial services data (e.g., customer, policy, claims).
