If you are interested in undertaking work experience with Lake Macquarie City Council and are completing a degree under the Newcastle Business School (NBS), please submit an application below. As part of your application, you will be asked to include :

Student Placement Agreement - A letter from Work Placements confirming your enrolment in BUSN3002 and your selection of your specialisation

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Participants must be undertaking a degree within the Newcastle Business School listed

Applications for work experience must be made at least 6 weeks prior to the preferred start date for work experience. All requests will be actioned within 48 hours; however, a response may take 14 days from application. If your application is successful, you will be required to undertake a number of online modules, including Code of Conduct, Work Health and Safety and Your Behaviour at Work, prior to the start date.

It is important that you identify which department you would like to experience so that we have a clear understanding of your interests and can match you with the most meaningful area at Council for you. The departments at Lake Mac included in the partnership

All applications will be assessed in terms of timing of the placement, workloads of our employees and the availability of our people in the requested area to mentor and supervise students.
