Job description6+ years in big-data engineering / administration, with hands-on Cloudera distribution management. Expert knowledge of Spark, Kafka, Hive, Hue, Rangers, and Python automation. Experience integrating with API endpoints and managing hybrid / on-prem to Cloud connectivity. Strong security (Kerberos, TLS), resource tuning, and benchmarking across data-intensive workloads. Summary
Administer and optimize enterprise big-data platforms with Cloudera, Spark, Kafka, Hive, Python, Hue, Cloud, API, and Rangers.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, upgrade, and operate Cloudera clusters; capacity planning, high availability, and backups.
- Manage and tune Spark jobs, Kafka brokers / topics, and Hive metastore / LLAP / ACID tables.
- Enable secure access and governance using Rangers (Apache Ranger) policies, audits, and tags.
- Provide platform tooling via Hue for users; automate admin tasks with Python and shell.
- Integrate platform services with external systems via API; connect on-prem and Cloud resources.
- Monitor health and performance; troubleshoot YARN / ResourceManager, HDFS, Zookeeper, and networking issues.
