Responsibilities :
- Design, implement, and maintain VMware vSphere virtualization infrastructure, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and vSAN. vSphere Version 7.x and above.
- Configure and manage virtual networks, storage, and other virtualization components.
- Monitor and troubleshoot VMware vSphere environment for performance and availability[6].
- Perform upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
- Maintain, upgrade, and implement improvements to the VMware ESXi infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues related to VMware infrastructure.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of VMware systems.
- Provide technical support to end-users and assist in resolving VMware and VMware cloud director related incidents.
- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures.
Vmware Products : -
VMware NSX :Design, deploy, and manage NSX components, including logical switches, routers, and firewalls.Implement micro-segmentation for enhanced security within the virtual environment.vCloud Director (vCD) :Administer and maintain vCD infrastructure for multi-tenant cloud environments.Create and manage vApps, catalogs, and organization networks.vRealize Operations (vROps) :Utilize vROps for performance monitoring, capacity planning, and resource optimization.Create custom dashboards and alerts to proactively address issues.Site Recovery Manager (SRM) and Disaster Recovery (DR) :Set up and test disaster recovery plans using SRM.Ensure business continuity by implementing effective DR strategies.IT Service Management (ITSM) :Collaborate with ITSM teams to integrate VMware systems into incident, problem, and change management processes.Participate in ITIL-based service delivery.Load Balancer :Troubleshoot load balancing issues and optimize traffic distribution.vCloud Director Appliance (vCDA) :Deploy, configure, and maintain vCDA instances.Manage vCDA resources, including catalogs, templates, and organization networks.Requirements :
Minimum Bachelors degree.Minimum 4-6 years of experience as a VMware Administrator in a large (minimum 1000 servers).Proficiency in VMware vSphere, vCenter, and other VMware products.Experience with server consolidation / virtualization for hardware reduction and site migrations.Familiarity with HP servers Administration.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server Administration (2016+ operating systems).Excellent communication skills and ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Preferred Qualifications :
