Role : Backup Administrator L1

Location : Navi Mumbai

Role Summary

The Backup Administrator L1 is responsible for the daily operational execution, monitoring, and first-level incident support for the enterprise backup infrastructure. This role ensures the successful completion of backup jobs and handles basic restoration requests.

Key Responsibilities :

• Monitoring & Reporting :
• Execute Daily backup Job monitoring and update the Daily Checklist accurately.
• Acknowledge and perform initial triage on alerts related to backup failures.
• Client & Job Management :
• Assist with NetBackup client installation and basic backup commissioning tasks.
• Perform preparation steps for routine backup types, including Normal File system and VM snapshot backup .
• Execute the Manual SAR cycle operation as required.
• Restoration & Recovery :
• Fulfill and execute standard Data Restoration Requests (Network Backup).
• Perform basic VM Snapshot Restoration tasks.
• Storage Operations :
• Assist with basic storage tasks related to backup copies, including FS Mounting / Unmounting and DG Import / Deport for BCV (Business Continuance Volume) based backups.
