Position Description - Business Operations.

Location : Gurgaon.

Business Unit : Enterprise.

Reports to : BU Head.

Grade : Sr Manager / DGM.

Position Summary :

This role is responsible for overseeing the overall business operations of the Enterprise Business Unit, ensuring effective team management, productivity, operational efficiency, and customer experience enhancement.

The position requires close coordination with business, finance, logistics, purchase, and regional teams to align operations with strategic and business goals.

Key Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with BU Head to define and achieve monthly and annual operating goals.
• Partner with business management team to set up, implement, and monitor operational processes, systems, and procedures.
• Drive vendor and operations strategies to improve customer experience, resolve issues, and enhance service levels.
• Coordinate with the inventory team for stock analysis, utilization, purchase planning, and maintaining accurate data.
• Manage operational processes including stock transfer requests, short supply / damage issue resolution, stock returns, and reconciliations.
• Handle calculation of CIF, global shipment orders, backlog reporting, and price approval / order loading issues.
• Monitor stock aging and share regular reports with regional SPOCs and business teams.
• Escalate unresolved operational issues to Principal Partners and internal stakeholders.
• Highlight pending billing issues to the Vertical Head and ensure timely closure.
• Establish and maintain contracts, pricing, and vendor relationships; serve as primary liaison with external agencies (utilities, government, health, safety, etc.
• Contribute to strategic planning through operational insights, audits, action plans, and trend analysis.
• Maintain a healthy work environment and foster strong cross-functional relationships across regions.
• Manage key vendor partnerships to ensure service quality and operational compliance.

Selection Criteria Essential :

Education : Graduation (mandatory); Post-Graduation preferred.

Experience : 15-20 years in operations management (enterprise / related domain).

Strong decision-making, conflict management, and stress tolerance.

Familiarity with concepts, practices, and procedures in imports & enterprise operations.

High work ethics, result orientation, and ability to handle large operational portfolios.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong team management and leadership experience.
