Expertise in Autodesk Inventor with 3D Modelling and Drafting

Job Purpose : To produce detailed engineering drawings and design documents for mechanical systems, ensuring adherence to project requirements, industry standards, and safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design and Drafting :
• Prepare detailed mechanical drawings, layouts, schematics, and diagrams using CAD software (Autodesk Inventor).
• Convert rough sketches, engineering ideas, and specifications into precise technical drawings.
• Ensure drawings meet all project specifications, standards, and legal requirements.
• Collaboration with Engineers :
• Work closely with mechanical engineers to interpret their designs and incorporate required changes or adjustments.
• Provide input on design feasibility, materials, and potential improvements to mechanical systems.
• Modification and Updates :
• Revise and update drawings based on feedback from engineers, clients, or changes in project requirements.
• Maintain version control and ensure that the latest drawings are available for all stakeholders.
• Material and Component Specification :
• Specify materials, dimensions, tolerances, and other technical details in the drawings.
• Assist in the selection of components, ensuring they meet project specifications.
• Quality and Compliance :
• Ensure all designs comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and client specifications.
• Conduct quality checks on drawings and models to minimize errors or omissions.
• Documentation and Reporting :
• Create and maintain documentation for design and project work.
• Produce assembly, installation, and maintenance manuals as required.
• Cost Estimation :
• Assist with cost estimation and planning by providing technical input into the cost and material needs of the project.
• Project Support :
• Support project management teams by providing timely and accurate technical information.
• Participate in meetings and reviews to provide updates on drafting and design progress.
