Job Summary

The Mechanical Engineering Specialist is responsible for providing expertise in mechanical engineering to support various projects and initiatives across the data centre mechanical systems. They will lead on activities such as design, analysis and troubleshooting to ensure the reliability and efficiency of the systems, collaborating with engineers and business stakeholders to support broader organisational goals.

Job Description

Typical tasks and responsibilities will include :

• Participate in the design and development of mechanical systems, considering factors such as materials, functionality, cost and safety
• Conduct technical analysis to evaluate the performance and efficiency of the systems, identifying opportunities for driving continuous improvement
• Provide technical support such as troubleshooting to identify and resolve system issues
• Ensure the reliability and safety of systems by developing and implementing testing procedures
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, such as project managers and technical specialists, to ensure successful project implementation, supporting with activities such as planning and progress monitoring
• Develop and maintain accurate technical documentation relating to mechanical engineering activities
• Remain informed with innovations in mechanical engineering, sharing best practices and implementing solutions where relevant
