Job Description

A leading steel industry is looking for  Cashier to handle cash transactions, maintain daily records, and support the finance team in a fast-paced steel manufacturing or trading environment. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy in handling payments, maintaining ledgers, and supporting day-to-day financial operations.

Key Responsibilities :

Handle daily cash collections and disbursements for sales, purchases, and miscellaneous expenses.

Issue cash receipts and maintain accurate daily cashbook entries.

Deposit cash and cheques into bank accounts and maintain bank deposit records.

Reconcile cash and bank transactions at the end of each day.

Maintain petty cash and ensure proper documentation of all expenses.

Assist the finance / accounts team with invoice processing and payment tracking.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cash reports.

Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies and internal controls.

Support audits by providing required documents and transaction history.

Coordinate with sales, dispatch, and accounts teams for payment collections and adjustments.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience :

B.Com or equivalent degree in Accounting / Finance

1–3 years of experience as a Cashier, preferably in manufacturing, steel, or trading industry

Working knowledge of GST, basic tax handling, and cash ledger maintenance is a plus

Requirements

Qualifications : diploma or equivalent. Previous retail sales experience preferred. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience : 3 to 5 years
