- To drive the financial and operational turnaround of a multi-location integrated textile company by focusing on profitable and sustainable verticals (Garments & Processing), restructuring non-performing units, optimizing cost structures, and establishing robust execution frameworks under the leadership of a new Director.
Key Responsibilities : Operational Turnaround Strategy.
Lead the transition from legacy operational inefficiencies to a lean, performance-driven culture.Design and execute phased closure, sale, or restructuring of loss-making Textile Business units (Spinning, Weaving, and Knitting units).Shift focus and resources toward high-margin, scalable, and sustainable business units-primarily Garments and Textile Processing.Cost Optimization & Profitability Management.
Aggressively reduce fixed costs (including Manpower costs, overheads, maintenance, and underutilized assets) to industry-benchmark levels.Drive unit-wise profitability analysis and discontinue or consolidate non-performing cost centers.Set up strong cost accounting mechanisms for real-time control and corrective actions.Multi-Location Operations Leadership.
Establish SOPs and SLAs across all units to standardize quality, productivity, and compliance.Monitor and realign production capacities across locations based on demand, margin contribution, and capability.Harmonize logistics and resource utilization across sites for maximum synergies.Garments & Processing Growth Enablement.
Scale up capacity, productivity, and market responsiveness in Garments and Textile Processing.Drive automation, energy efficiency, and waste reduction programs in these core units.Integrate production planning with sales forecasts for agile delivery and cost control.People Management & Organization Restructuring.
Reorganize teams for speed, accountability, and outcome-orientation.Work closely with HR to redefine KRAs aligned with unit profitability and individual impact.Create a "business-unit CEO" / Intrapreneurial culture for each location / function.Governance & Collaboration with Directors.
Act as the Execution Anchor to support the Directors' vision.Provide structured monthly updates with operational KPIs, turnaround progress, and financial impact.Build trust and transparency with the leadership team through data-backed decisions and visible change.Compliance, Safety & ESG.
Ensure all active units meet regulatory, labor, and environmental standards.Prioritize safety and ESG compliance in retained facilities.Support green certifications and circularity programs in Processing and Garments segments.Success Indicators (1-6 months) : .
Within the first 1-6 months, the role is expected to drive a complete strategic exit or cost-minimized operations in Spinning, Weaving, and Knitting units, alongside achieving a 30% quarter-on-quarter reduction in fixed costs.Simultaneously, Garments and Processing units should deliver a minimum EBITDA margin of 15%, while working capital days are reduced by 20%.The incumbent must ensure 100% compliance in monthly reporting by the 5th of each month, and deliver 25-30% manpower cost optimization by Month 3, while retaining critical talent.Who Will Be the Right Fit.
