About the Role :
The Project Manager – Last-Mile Operations Excellence will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, hyper-efficient delivery operations across cities. The role is focused on driving OTIF (On-Time In-Full), delivery partner hiring & retention, hub-level performance, and CPO optimization . This is a deeply hands-on role for someone experienced in last-mile logistics, subscription models, daily performance governance, and operational problem solving . You will work directly with city teams, hub leads, delivery partners, and cross-functional stakeholders to push delivery excellence every day.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Last-Mile Delivery Excellence (OTIF Ownership)
- Own end-to-end OTIF performance for all delivery zones and hubs.
- Track delivery timeliness, accuracy, order completeness, and customer SLAs on a daily basis.
- Identify failure patterns and run RCA to plug delivery defects.
- Implement process improvements to consistently achieve 95%+ OTIF.
- Drive last-mile delivery SOP adherence across hubs and routes.
2 . Delivery Partner Hiring, Productivity & Retention
Work with internal teams and external vendors to ensure adequate rider hiring & onboarding across all hubs.Maintain rider availability buffer for peak demand and special events.Track rider productivity metrics such as OPH, delivery density, shift adherence, and earnings mapping.Implement frugal and sustainable retention initiatives—motivation, governance, earning optimization, fair allocation, and reward mechanisms.Monitor rider complaints, grievances, and churn drivers to reduce attrition.3. Hub Operations Performance
Manage performance and process discipline at all hubs.Ensure hub readiness—order segregation, rider dispatch, route optimization, shift planning.Work closely with Hub Managers, and City Operations to maintain daily operational hygiene.Conduct weekly hub audits to identify gaps and execute corrective actions.4. Data Analytics & Reporting
Use data (Excel, Sheets, SQL basics) to track KPIs such as order fulfilment, OTIF, delays, delivery productivity, rider performance, cost KPIs, etcBuild dashboards / reports for leadership to support decision-making.Conduct root-cause analysis on operational defects and propose corrective actions.5. Cost & Productivity Optimization
Monitor CPO daily for each hub, cluster, and city.Identify cost leakages in manpower allocation, routing inefficiencies, and low productivity zones.Run initiatives such as route optimization, batching, shift redesign, and rider utilization improvements to reduce CPO sustainably.Support leadership with forecasting and cost planning.Skills & Competencies :
Strong analytical ability with Advanced Excel, Google Sheets, and basic SQL .Deep understanding of last-mile logistics, subscription deliveries, hub operations, route planning & manpower allocation .Hands-on experience with ground operations and rider management .Strong communication and stakeholder handling across city teams, hubs, and leadership.Ownership mindset with the ability to work in fast-paced, daily-delivery environments.Problem-solving attitude with the capability to drive change through data-driven actions.Qualifications
