ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET III) to join our growing Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for writing and maintaining both UI and backend automation tests, ensuring the highest quality

standards across the application. You will use tools such as Selenium

WebDriver, Rest Assured, Postman, TestNG, and Cucumber to automate tests and ensure product reliability.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of QA processes, and a proven ability to be an independent contributor who can unblock themselves and peers. As a Lead SDET, you will play a critical role in mentoring junior team members, ensuring best practices in testing, and collaborating effectively with developers,

product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Test Automation Development :

• Ability to define automation strategy (functional / non-functional) for a product.
• Highly proficient in automation tools and in-depth knowledge of functional / non-functional automation stacks and building frameworks.
• Write automated API / WebSocket tests using Java / Rest Assured and Postman for validating RESTful APIs and WebSocket.
• Ensure that SDET I and SDET II in the team reuse and maintain existing test frameworks where possible.
• Proficient in Java and can write performant code and is able to do code reviews for the work done by the team.
• Be aware of the production environment and issues reported. Own up reproduction and troubleshooting production issues.
• Create data-driven tests and automate API validation against different environments.
• Ensure robust API coverage, including edge cases and negative test scenarios.
• Responsible for various dimensions of testing (functional / non-functional (i.,e performance, scalability, security, adverse etc.), ensuring quality experience to our customers.
• Write, review and maintain test cases that cover functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Experience in testing web services / distributed systems and strong understanding on sql / nosql databases.
