The Role

Overview :

We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join our team as the Head of Business Systems. In this role, you will be responsible for spearheading the migration from our current ERP system (Sage300) to Microsoft Dynamics, identifying and selecting appropriate vendors, and overseeing the full implementation and management of the new ERP system. Additionally, you will review all existing business systems, identify areas for improvement, and recommend software solutions that enhance our operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities :

  • ERP Migration & Implementation :
  • Lead the migration project from Sage300 to Microsoft Dynamics, ensuring a seamless transition with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with ERP vendors and implementation partners.
  • Oversee project planning, execution, testing, and go-live activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Business Systems Management :
  • Implement and manage the new Microsoft Dynamics ERP system, ensuring its alignment with business processes and strategic goals.
  • Continuously review and assess all current business systems, identifying opportunities for integration, optimization, and improvement.
  • Recommend and implement software solution enhancements that drive efficiency, scalability, and innovation.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration :
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (IT, finance, operations, supply chain, etc.) to gather requirements, set priorities, and ensure that systems meet business needs.
  • Communicate project progress, challenges, and results to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement & Vendor Management :
  • Develop and enforce best practices, policies, and procedures for business systems management.
  • Monitor vendor performance, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships to ensure service quality and value.

Ideal Profile

Qualifications :

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience :
  • 8+ years of experience in business systems management or ERP implementation, with a strong track record of successfully migrating ERP systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP systems; familiarity with Sage300 is a plus.

    • Skills :

  • Proven leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage complex, large-scale projects.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively across various departments and with external vendors.
  • Experience in vendor evaluation, selection, and management.
  • Certifications :
  • Required : Appropriate certifications in Microsoft Dynamics
  • Additional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar credentials are a plus.
