The position
We are hiring an experienced DFM, Project Engineer for our Pune office. This is a full time onsite role, 40 hours per week. You must have a proven background in DFM, SolidWorks, and manufacturing.

Position Summary
You will manage the transition of products from design to mass production. You will ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability for processes such as injection molding, CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, die casting, and assembly. You will work with teams across India, China, and Southeast Asia and support communication with international clients and vendors when needed.
Key Responsibilities
Perform detailed DFM analysis and provide clear recommendations.
Create and revise 3D models and 2D drawings in SolidWorks with proper GD&T and tolerance stack ups.
Generate production ready documentation such as BOMs, engineering drawings, and assembly specifications.
Coordinate with internal teams and suppliers for prototyping, tooling, and production.
Review supplier feedback and assess feasibility, tooling concerns, and cost details.
Support factory interactions including calls, visits, and technical updates.
Maintain clean revision control and document history.
Track project timelines and report risks or bottlenecks early.
Support QC and production teams with testing and failure analysis.
Be available for possible international travel.
Required Qualifications
Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering degree.
Minimum three years of proven, hands-on post-graduation experience in DFM, product engineering, or manufacturing roles.
Expert SolidWorks skills, including modeling, drafting, assemblies, and GD&T.
Strong understanding of DFM for injection molding, CNC, die casting, sheet metal, and assembly.
Experience preparing production documentation and working with manufacturers.
Strong mechanical fundamentals and problem solving ability.
Clear communication skills in English, written and spoken.
Nice to Have
Experience with tools such as Fusion 360, KeyShot, or AutoCAD.
Experience with international clients or distributed teams.
Knowledge of compliance standards such as ROHS or CE.
Experience with ERP or project tracking tools.
