Job Description – Senior MEP Engineer (Design, Drafting & Execution) – Commercial Office Spaces Work Location - Based on Project Requirement

Role Overview :
We are looking for an experienced MEP Engineer who can handle Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC design as well as on-site execution for commercial office fit-out projects. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of office space MEP standards, must be able to prepare and review drawings, coordinate with contractors, and ensure end-to-end project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. MEP Design & Drawings
Prepare detailed MEP designs for HVAC, electrical, lighting, ELV, fire safety, and plumbing systems.
Create and update AutoCAD drawings , load calculations, equipment sizing, cable routing, and layout plans.
Review consultant / contractor drawings and ensure alignment with project specifications and standards.
Coordinate MEP designs with architectural and interior layouts for seamless integration.
2. HVAC System Planning
Calculate heat load, select capacities, and finalize ducting layouts.
Plan VRV / VRF, cassette units, AHUs, FCUs, exhaust systems, and fresh air systems.
Ensure proper ventilation standards for commercial office spaces.
3. Electrical & ELV Systems
Design electrical distribution, panel schedules, DBs, cabling, earthing, and lighting layouts.
Plan CCTV, access control, fire alarm, PA system, data / voice cabling (structured cabling).
Ensure compliance with electrical safety and commercial building codes.
4. Plumbing & Fire Safety
Prepare layouts for water supply, drainage, STP connections, washrooms, RO lines, and pantry points.
Oversee sprinkler layouts, fire extinguishers, hydrants, and fire pump room requirements.
Coordinate with fire consultants for approvals and statutory compliance.
5. Execution & Site Supervision
Monitor day-to-day MEP execution for commercial fit-out projects.
Manage contractors, technicians, and vendors to ensure timely and quality project delivery.
Conduct site inspections, snag identification, and closure during handover.
Ensure execution strictly follows approved drawings, BOQ, and material specifications.
6. Coordination & Project Management
Coordinate with architects, interior contractors, and civil teams for integrated services.
Attend project meetings, track progress, and update management on timelines.
Handle material planning, vendor coordination, and procurement support for MEP materials.
7. Testing, Commissioning & Quality Control
Conduct system testing, commissioning, and ensure smooth handover to operations team.
Verify quality standards, equipment installation, and functionality checks.
Maintain documentation : as-built drawings, checklists, test reports, and handover files.
Skills & Qualifications
Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Electrical Engineering.
3–8 years of MEP engineering experience in commercial office space projects (mandatory).
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical loads, plumbing, fire safety & ELV systems.
Good understanding of commercial building standards and MEP integration.
Strong coordination, problem-solving, and project management skills.
