Description
We are seeking a Lead Business Analyst with a strong blend of technical analytical expertise and commercial acumen. This role will function as a strategic link between our technical teams and prospective clients. In addition to gathering and analysing requirements, the Lead BA will play a key role in the pre-sales cycle by shaping solution proposals, managing RFPs, and demonstrating the value of our IT services to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with Sales and Business Development teams to identify and qualify leads based on technical fit
- Lead the end-to-end management and creation of responses for RFPs, RFIs, and tenders
- Deliver product demonstrations and presentations to prospective clients, clearly communicating the business value of proposed solutions
- Assist in preparing Scope of Work (SOW) documents, commercial proposals, and related deliverables
- Conduct discovery workshops with clients to understand their business challenges, workflows, and technical requirements
- Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications and technical requirements for the development team
- Perform Gap Analysis to align client expectations with current service offerings
- Develop comprehensive documentation including BRD, FRD, Use Cases, and process flows
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients during the pre-sales phase, providing input on best practices and solution architecture
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities for complementary IT services during requirement analysis
- Manage stakeholder expectations related to project scope, feasibility, timelines, and solution outcomes
Requirements
Minimum 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the IT / software industryProven experience supporting the sales / pre-sales cycle, including RFP participation, proposal writing, and solution positioning for IT services or SaaS productsBachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; MBA preferredStrong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and general IT infrastructure (Cloud, APIs, Databases, etc.)Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholdersDemonstrated expertise in preparing proposals, commercial decks, and requirement artefactsAnalytical mindset with strong problem-solving and data-driven decision-making capabilitiesHands-on experience with wireframing tools (e.g., Balsamiq, Figma), project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello), and the Microsoft Office SuiteExperience in Retail, Real Estate, E-commerce would be a plusCertifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or CSM (Certified Scrum Master) are an added advantageFamiliarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) preferred
