Job description

Clinical & Surgical Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and management of urological and uro-oncology patients
  • Perform advanced urological surgeries, including
  • TURBT, TURP
  • Nephrectomy, partial nephrectomy
  • Radical prostatectomy
  • Radical cystectomy
  • Ureteric reconstruction, ureterorenoscopy
  • Management of uro-oncology cases (kidney, bladder, prostate, testicular cancers).
  • Manage minimally invasive / laparoscopic and endourological procedures
  • Provide peri-operative care, post-operative follow-up, and long-term cancer surveillance

Patient Care & Counselling

  • Ensure high standards of patient safety, compassionate communication, and ethical medical practice
  • Provide patient and family counselling on diagnosis, treatment plan, prognosis, and follow-up care
  • Participate in Tumor Board discussions and multidisciplinary care planning.

    • Clinical Governance & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate medical records as per hospital protocols (EMR)
  • Ensure adherence to NABH standards, infection control, safety guidelines, and clinical audits.
  • Participate in morbidity & mortality meetings, clinical review meetings, and quality improvement initiatives

    • Collaborative & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Radiology, Pathology, and Nursing teams
  • Participate in OPD, IPD, emergency calls, and OT schedules as assigned
  • Contribute to hospital outreach programs, CMEs, awareness camps, and brand-building activities
  • Support protocol development, clinical pathways, and patient education materials

    • Qualifications

    Qualification : MBBS, MS / DNB (General Surgery) & MCh / DNB Urology from reputed institute.

    Fellowship in Uro-Oncology preferred (national or international).
