About the Role :
We are seeking a highly creative and experienced R&D Chef to join our for our restaurant and cloud kitchen. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing innovative recipes, optimizing menus, and ensuring consistent food quality while adhering to industry trends, cost efficiency, and operational feasibility.
Key Responsibilities :
Menu Innovation & Development :
Create and test new recipes aligned with market trends, customer preferences, and brand positioning.
Develop scalable and cost-effective menu items suitable for our restaurant and cloud kitchen operations.
Experiment with new ingredients, techniques, and cuisines to enhance the menu offering.
Food Quality & Standardization :
Establish SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.
Conduct regular tasting sessions and quality checks.
Optimize food preparation processes to maintain efficiency in cloud kitchen workflows.
Cost Control & Sourcing :
Work closely with procurement teams to source high-quality ingredients at competitive prices.
Optimize ingredient usage and reduce food wastage without compromising quality.
Collaborate with finance teams to manage food costs and margins effectively.
Market & Consumer Insights :
Research and analyze food trends, customer preferences, and competitor offerings.
Incorporate data-driven insights into recipe development and menu planning.
Ensure dietary considerations, allergens, and nutritional balance in menu offerings.
Collaboration & Training :
Work closely with kitchen staff to implement new recipes and cooking techniques.
Train chefs and kitchen personnel on new menu items and preparation methods.
Collaborate with marketing teams to promote new product launches.
Qualifications & Experience :
Culinary degree or relevant certification from a recognized institute.
3+ years of experience in R&D or menu development, preferably in a cloud kitchen or QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) environment.
Strong understanding of food science, kitchen operations, and cost control.
Ability to balance creativity with operational feasibility.
Experience with food safety standards and compliance regulations.
Strong analytical skills and ability to work with market insights and data.
Preferred Skills :
Knowledge of emerging food trends and alternative ingredients.
Experience working with delivery-focused food concepts.
Familiarity with recipe costing software and kitchen automation tools.
Passion for innovation and continuous improvement in the food industry.
